Africell CEO Calls on Private Sector to Support Fourah Bay College’s 200th Anniversary Projects.

The Chief Executive Officer of Africell Sierra Leone, Shadi Al-Gerjawi, has called on the private sector and development partners to unite in supporting the transformation of as it prepares to celebrate its historic 200th anniversary.
In a public appeal issued as part of the college’s bicentenary campaign, Al-Gerjawi, who described himself as a proud Fourahbite, encouraged businesses, corporate institutions, and development partners to invest in the future of Sierra Leone’s oldest institution of higher learning.
He noted that Fourah Bay College has played a vital role in producing generations of leaders, professionals, and public servants who have made significant contributions to Sierra Leone’s national development and beyond.
The Africell CEO stressed that the anniversary celebration presents an opportunity for stakeholders to contribute to key infrastructure projects aimed at improving the learning environment and enhancing the institution’s facilities. These proposed projects include the construction of a mini stadium, additional student hostels, and improvements to the college’s road infrastructure.
Al-Gerjawi emphasized that investing in Fourah Bay College is an investment in the country’s future, urging all stakeholders to support the institution as it embarks on a new chapter in its nearly two-century-long history.
